Five armed men - rumored to be working for rap producer Suge Knight - broke into a Van Nuys rap producer's home and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry, recording gear, a key to a Mercedes and a safe.The victim - Detail - according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com, is a producer for Grammy-nominated rapper Akon.
The armed men entered the home in the 15200 block of Wyandotte Street near Bumet Avenue in Van Nuys about 2:30 a.m. on March 25, said Los Angeles Police Officer Sam Park.
No one was hurt during the incident, police said. And a description of the men has not yet been released.
